I'm an appliance repair tech, and this is a clear dishwasher door. It's actually a tool that we can use to diagnose dishwasher issues. It lets you see right inside the dishwasher while it's running. This is what big dishwasher doesn't want you to see.

Okay, so this is the clear dishwasher door, and I'm going to show you how it works. Don't try this at home. So even though it's a little bit difficult to see, yes, there is a clear door on here right now. Here we go. Depending on the design of the dishwasher, it might be a little bit different. But in this particular one, you're going to see it's going to start to fill on the left, and then eventually, once it fills enough, you're going to see it's going to start pumping water through the spray arms. There are a lot of different dishwasher designs, but this is the same general idea with all of them. This clear door is a really, really good tool to see just how fast the water is draining out. We can also make sure that both of the spray arms are actually spinning and that they're pushing water out the proper way.
