Electrolux makes a range of great washing machines designed to last even with heavy usage. If your Electrolux washer has stopped draining, the most likely cause is a blockage somewhere within the machine. Fortunately, by following this guide, you should be able to easily resolve the issue.
Make sure to disconnect the washer from the power and turn off the water to the washer before proceeding.

The first thing you should check is the exterior hose coming out of the washing machine. If the hose is bent or twisted, straighten out the hose so that water can flow through it. You can also feel the hose to see if it has become blocked. Sometimes grime can build up and cause a hose blockage.
To remove blockages from the hose:
Some Electrolux models feature a drain pump filter. It is usually located behind a small panel at the bottom right of the machine. You should be able to open the panel with your fingers or a flathead screwdriver. Before unscrewing the filter, make sure to put a towel down. You will also need a container to collect the water that comes out.
Top-load washing machines will not drain if there is a faulty lid switch. When you open and close the lid, you may be able to hear if the lid switch is working or not. If you can see the switch, you can test it by pushing a pencil against it to see if it allows the washer to drain. On other models, a panel on the lid will need to be unscrewed, or the top panel will need to be removed to access the switch.
The next parts of the washer that need to be checked require opening up the washer.
Most Electrolux washers are front-loaders. On a front-load washer, most models require removal of the front panel to access the drain pump, internal hoses, and sump filter.
Now you can access the internal hose, drain pump, and sump filter.
For top-load washers, you can access the drain pump, internal hoses, and sump filter from underneath the washer. These are easier to access, as on most models you just need to unscrew the bottom panel.
Small objects or clothing items can sometimes clog the internal hose. Remove the appropriate panel to open up the washer and gain access to the hose. Removing the hose will likely result in a large amount of water being discharged.
When accessing the internal hose and drain pump, most models will have a filter inside the top pump hose that you can remove and replace if necessary. Common items found in the sump filter include coins, bobby pins, and small clothing items.
The drain pump sucks water from the washer tub and pushes it down the line to the drain. A common cause for a washer not draining is that the drain pump is impeded or defective.
