Today, I'm going to show you guys how to clean your washing machine using a washing machine cleaner, like Affresh. You don't have to use Affresh. You can just Google washing machine cleaner, and you can find a bunch of different brands, but that's the one that I happen to have, so that's what we're using.

I happen to have a top load washing machine that has an agitator spine in the middle. This will still work for any other washing machine. It doesn't matter if it has the flat plate, if it's a spine, if it's a top loader, or if it's a front loader, you can all use the Affresh tablets on any of those. So Affresh comes in tablet form. Each one is gift-wrapped, almost like a little piece of candy. Don't eat it. And this is what the tablet looks like.

Step one, toss it into the tub, not into the dispenser. Probably a better idea to place it into the tub rather than toss it because mine broke apart, but it's okay. It'll still work just fine.

Step two, close the lid, turn it to hot water, although some of them will automatically do that on the clean cycle. And I'm going to turn this to the clean washer with Affresh cycle because mine happens to be Whirlpool, and Whirlpool owns Affresh. And then we're going to hit start. And that's literally it. That's all the steps.

So there are different steps, depending on the washing machine that you have. Make note of whether or not it's a washing machine that has a self-clean or clean washer cycle, and non-HE washers and HE washers have different directions as well. So just follow the directions on the box, and you're good to go.
