This is NOT just a job. This is a Great opportunity for the right candidate. This position is for technical/mechanical people with previous technical background but with little to no experience servicing residential appliances. Candidates begin as a student in this new trade while also learning on the job similar to an apprentice program. Regular pay increases beginning at about 90 days and continue as you progress. Fred’s Academy students have a great head start and can generally begin at a higher pay.

This position is well suited to technical and mechanical people that have customer service skills as well. Work is generally 8-5 work and occasional light Saturday’s. No work on Sunday, holidays and no travel but overtime is available if you want it. Our technicians are never on call. Flexible hours are possible. Must have your own own hand tools we will provide guidance and help.

Requirements include:
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Must be willing to learn appliance repair to an expert level.
• Must have troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Must be computer literate, great with details, numbers, and accuracy.
• Must be punctual, courteous, and well groomed.
• A background, drug and driving screening will be required.
• We are looking for people that have some mechanical or electrical working experience or other maintenance experience that are desiring to learn a trade for life.
