Steel City Appliance Repair is a locally owned and growing residential service company serving Pittsburgh and the surrounding communities. As we continue to expand, we’re adding an Appliance Repair Technician to our team to serve a dedicated Pittsburgh/South Hills territory.

Technicians run a consistent number of pre-scheduled residential calls each within this focused territory. Scheduling, dispatch, and parts coordination are handled by the office so you can stay productive in the field and focused on diagnostics and repair.

This is a full-time, long-term position for a technician who takes pride in accurate diagnostics, professional customer service, and being part of a structured, team-oriented company.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair major household appliances in customers’ homes
• Complete a consistent daily route of approximately 5-7 residential service calls
• Communicate with customers regarding arrival time while in route
• Use company software in the field to document work performed, complete invoices, and collect payment
• Accurately identify and order parts needed for repairs
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle and work area

Qualifications

• Prior appliance repair experience preferred; graduates of a recognized appliance repair training program with strong diagnostic skills will also be considered
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Experience working in residential service
• Ability to work independently and manage a daily route
• Professional communication and time-management skills
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, reliable personal vehicle and required auto insurance
• Ability to life and move household appliances as required
