About the company:
Since 1924, the folks at Fullerton’s have been known as the appliance experts — and for good reason. We service Erie and Crawford counties with the latest home appliances, mattress sets and repair parts. We take pride in the fact that we are a fourth-generation, family-owned business, and the last locally owned appliance center in Erie.
At Fullerton’s, customer satisfaction is our goal in everything we do. As a local business, we place great emphasis on making our customer’s buying experience as pleasant as possible, from their first visit in the store to the delivery in their home. We take pride in what we do and expect our employees to do the same.
About the Job:
We are looking for candidates to join our growing service department. This is a full-time, Monday-Friday position with typical daytime hours. Ideally, we are looking for a candidate with at least one (1) year of experience installing, repairing, and/or servicing various household appliances. You would be responsible for both in-field service and service performed in our shop. Duties would include correctly diagnosing and repairing various household appliances, including, but not limited to washers, dryers, refrigerators, ranges, dishwashers, and built-in cooking, such as cooktops and wall ovens. Knowledge of built-in appliance installation (cooktops, wall ovens, microwaves, etc) is a plus and candidates with EPA-approved refrigeration technician certification are highly desired.
Self-servicing appliance dealers have become a rarity in today’s world, but that is where you come in. We service each and every appliance that we sell and our technicians are factory certified to work on brands including Whirlpool, KitchenAid, Maytag, Amana, GE, Frigidaire and Speed Queen. We are willing to train the right candidate, but we do prefer that you have a basic knowledge of tools and appliances. Pay will be determined based on skills and experience.
Preferred Experience:
The ideal candidate will have:
- Prior experience installing and/or servicing household appliances, such as refrigerators, ranges, washers, and dryers
- Prior experience installing built-in appliances
- EPA-approved refrigeration technician certification
- A professional demeanor and appearance
- Working technical knowledge and/or a strong desire to learn
- The ability to use various repair and diagnostic tools
Preferred Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A high level of responsibility and organization
- Knowledge of the inner workings of appliances
- A customer-oriented attitude
- A desire to work hard and build a life-long career
- A valid driver’s license
- The ability to pass a drug test, background check and driving record inquiry
