Appliance Repair Service Technician

We are seeking a skilled Appliance Service Repair Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing various household appliances, ensuring customer satisfaction through high-quality service. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work independently in the field.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair appliances including refrigerators, washers, dryers, and other household equipment.
  • Read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues effectively.
  • Utilize your mechanical knowledge to perform repairs and maintenance on appliances in a timely manner.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with clients about repair processes and timelines.
  • Operate a box truck for transporting tools and equipment to job sites as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs performed, and parts used.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve service efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and new appliance technologies to enhance repair techniques.
  • Heavy lifting on the job is sometimes required.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in appliance repair or as a service technician is a must.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various appliances effectively.
  • Familiarity with refrigeration systems is a plus.
  • Previous field service experience is highly desirable.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
  • Experience in HVAC systems is beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Ability to operate a box truck safely while adhering to all traffic regulations.
  • Basic assembly skills for putting together new appliances or equipment as needed.
